DubCampers was conceived in the summer of 2008 when myself and my partner Zoe did 7 countries and over 3500 miles in 4 weeks in our Pimped T4 van. It was the most fantastic holiday of my life!!!
The company was formed by Mark Garside and a good friend John Holt. We are both big VW fans and we both enjoy ownership of our vans.
The idea that we would hire out our vans was born. Over the next 3 months, 4 more all white T4 vans were purchased. The split was we would have 3 SWB and 2 LWB but the most important part was the bed. It had to be big!
So, the layout of the vans would not be the traditional layout with cupboards down the side and a 3/4 Rock'n'Roll bed. No! It would have cupboards across the front allowing a full 4 foot 6 inch bed across the full width of the van .
The concept was put into practice with the end result being the vans you see now. If you book one of our vans and enjoy the experience as much as we do, that is all we can ask for!
